Services and Events

We have at least one service every Sunday in the Parish – usually in Christ Church in the morning and at St Michael’s in summer evenings. However, there are also one-off services and events.

Christ Church – Regular Services

9:45am First Sunday of the Month – Holy Communion

A formal Eucharistic service using the Common Worship liturgy

9:45am Second Sunday of the Month – Prayer and Praise

An informal contemporary service using modern audiovisuals

9:45am Third Sunday of the Month – Holy Communion

A formal Eucharistic service using the Common Worship liturgy

9:45am Fourth Sunday of the Month – All Age Worship

A non-eucharistic service suitable for worshippers of all ages

9:45am Fifth Sunday of the Month – Morning Prayer

A service of Morning Prayer in contemporary language

 

All services at Christ Church are followed by our famous Ministry of Cakes and all are welcome!

St Michael de Rupe – Regular Services

Sung Evensong – from Easter to Michaelmas (the end of September), 6:00pm

A sung evensong service, using the traditional (BCP) liturgy on the second and third Sundays, and contemporary (CW) liturgy on the first and third.

Good Friday (30th March 2018) – One Friday Easter Ascent

A dramatised retelling of the events of Passion Week as we ascend the Tor. To be followed by a quiet service of reflection and contemplation in St Michael’s

Sunday 31st March 2018 – Easter Community Event in the Village Hall

With an Easter Egg Hunt, Easter Garden, and Tea for all ages!

Easter Sunday (1st April 2018) – Easter Holy Communion

Eucharist in St Michael’s to celebrate Easter and open the “season” at St Michael’s

Saturday and Sunday 7th and 8th April – Photographic Exhibition in Christ Church

An exhibition is to be of photographs of the churches in Brentor, and is open to all. See here for more details!
