What We Believe

Christians believe that every human being is made in the image of God and is loved by God. We believe that God revealed himself to us through his Son, Jesus Christ. We know from the Bible that Jesus said that he came that we may have life, and have it to the full. (John 10.10)

Becoming a Christian is to join a community of billions of believers around the world; to take the first step on an exciting journey that brings you closer to the God who knows and loves us completely.

The basic document of Christian faith is known as a Creed. Although there are several different versions, emphasising different aspects of our faith, the most universal is known as the Apostle’s Creed.

The Apostle’s Creed

We believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

We believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
